Tax master is an Excel based income tax calculator for the UK. It does not cover NI contributions. It was written original for my own benefit but I realised that others may wish to use it. It is provided free. Please download it and use it as you wish. If you do use Tax Master then you do so under the Licence conditions which you can also download. It is provided as is and on the basis that no liability will be accepted by myself for any errors or omissions.
This is the very latest version of Tax Master to be used for 2016/7 tax year onwards when the new treatment for interest and dividend income is introduced.
Tax Master 2019-20 beta (re-issued 18/5/2020)
Below is the previous version of Tax Master. It is set for the 2014/5 year, although you can change the tax rates to make it usable for 2013/4 and 2015/6. You can find the rates of tax to use under the Tax Rates link below. It takes account of the change in the ability to claim higher personal allowances and married mans allowance based on date of birth and not age and adjusted so that to allow lower rate of interest interest income to be changed. It also takes account that the personal allowance is no longer changes with age.
Below is an earlier version of Tax Master. This is based on the previous basis of claiming a higher personal allowance or married mans allowance based on age.
This file contains all the tax rates since 2004 in the same format as the Tax Band sheet in Tax Master. This will allow you to reset the tax tables for other tax years. You will need to use the right version of Tax Master though. Some screenshots of the spreadsheet without any data added.
